Getting started
General, and working with Gemini Accounting
A small in-house team, overseen by Saad Chaudhri. Kelly Tran handles compliance and reporting, Abhay Gandhi leads international tax, and Faisal Riaz covers forecasting and analytics. Your engagement is staffed with the people it needs, and the same team keeps the file, so you are not explaining your situation from scratch every time something comes up.
211 N Olive Street, Suite 109, Media, PA 19063. We serve clients across Delaware County and beyond. Many clients choose Gemini Accounting remotely, but you are always welcome to come in for a review or a planning session.
You reach our team, not a call center and not a ticket queue. During the height of filing season, mid-March through 15 April, a response may take up to 24 hours.
Yes. For multi-state returns the firm handles the filing each jurisdiction requires. The team also includes specialists in international tax for clients with cross-border activity.
Call (484) 339-4616 or send the contact form. Describe what you need and we will outline what it takes, what it costs, and when it will be done. There is no charge for the initial conversation.
Tax
Tax preparation and planning
Individual (Form 1040), partnership (Form 1065), S-Corporation (Form 1120-S), C-Corporation (Form 1120), estate and trust (Form 1041), and Pennsylvania state and local returns. We also handle multi-state filings and international reporting.
Preparation records what already happened; by the time we are filling in the form, every decision that affects it is already made. Planning happens while those decisions are still open. We do both, and we stay available between filings so you can ask when a decision comes up rather than after.
Yes. If the IRS or the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue sends a notice, we respond on your behalf. Most notices have a shorter response window than people expect, so forward it as soon as it arrives.
It depends on your net income, how much you actually draw from the business, what a reasonable salary for your role would be, and which states you operate in. There is no one-size answer. We run the comparison on your numbers and show you the arithmetic. If a change makes sense we help you execute it; if it does not, we will say so.
Income, expenses by category, estimated tax payments made, mileage if relevant, and any asset purchases. If you are unsure whether your system captures everything, we will review it and set it up properly. Good records reduce the hours billed and lower the chance of an audit adjustment.
Fixed fee, never hourly. Individual returns start at $600 and business returns at $1,700, both scaling with complexity. Every engagement is scoped and quoted in writing before work begins. The breakdown by service is below.
Executors and trustees
Estate and trust
Get an EIN for the estate, open an estate bank account, and establish date-of-death values for the assets. Those three drive everything that follows. From there the firm handles the Pennsylvania inheritance tax return and the estate income tax returns for each year the administration runs, and the firm coordinates with the attorney and the financial institutions so you are not the one translating between them.
Nine months from the date of death. Separately, a 5% discount applies to inheritance tax paid within three months of the date of death, the discount follows the payment, not the filing, so an estimated payment inside that window can earn it even if the return is not finished. Interest and penalties begin after nine months. Source: PA Department of Revenue, REV-584.
It depends on who inherits, not on how much. 0% to a surviving spouse; 0% to a parent from a child aged 21 or younger, and to a child aged 21 or younger from a parent; 4.5% to direct descendants and lineal heirs; 12% to siblings; 15% to everyone else. Charities, exempt institutions and government entities are exempt. Source: PA Department of Revenue, REV-584, current as at July 2026.
Usually yes. Pennsylvania inheritance tax has no exemption threshold the way the federal estate tax does, so size alone does not remove the requirement. The federal side is different: for deaths in 2026 the basic exclusion is $15,000,000, so Form 706 rarely applies, but Form 1041 is required once the estate takes in $600 or more of gross income: or if any beneficiary is a nonresident alien, at any income level.
A straightforward estate might close in 12 to 18 months. An estate with real property to sell, a business interest, or beneficiaries who disagree can stay open for several years. A fiduciary income tax return is due for every year it remains open. We file those until it closes.
Books and numbers
Bookkeeping and virtual CFO
If your time is worth more running the business, the arithmetic usually favors hiring. Beyond hours saved, professional bookkeeping catches errors before they compound, keeps the tax return cleaner, and gives you numbers you can actually rely on when deciding something.
QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), Xero, Bill.com, Fyle and TaxDome, among others. We connect to what you already use rather than force a migration. If you are not set up on anything yet, we will get you onto the right platform for your business.
Catch-up work, monthly close and software: see bookkeeping. Whether you need a CFO yet: see virtual CFO services.
